Happy Friday guys. 😊 I want these Friday Favorites to be about whatever is inspiring me at the moment and hopefully inspires you too. Or whatever caught my eye this week. Or stylish buys that I want to pass on to you! Or new products that I love that I think you would love to! So today’s Friday Favorites are about hydrangeas and a beach home. Lots of eye candy for you! Gorgeous hydrangeas. Beautiful blooms that just take your breath away. Unfortunately, mine did not get as fluffy this year and actually became a little crispy from our record setting heatwave and no rain summer. And yes I did water them a lot! I just don’t think they are in the best location. The further north you are, the more sun they can take. Usually. So I figured where I planted them would be suitable since I’m in the Pacific Northwest. But I guess it is just too hot and sunny for them. In the fall, I’ll transplant it to a pot and find a better location for it.
Check out these beauties from Instagram though! How did your hydrangeas come out this summer?
How about this gorgeous beach home on Fire Island? This is an article I came across from Coastal Living. The architect is Tom McNeill of Hutker Architects and the builder is Edward Horton. I especially love all the cozy wood tones and the indoor/outdoor living. Those views aren’t too bad either!
To break up the wood tones a little, she brought in hints of blue throughout the home, with pillows and textiles, soapstone counters, and lighting. This really ties in well with the all the blue water views.
Above is the guest bedroom. How cute are those whale sheets? She used pendant lighting throughout the home as well because it is too damp for shades. How interesting!
Hope you enjoyed this weeks Friday Favorites. Keep checking back – I publish new posts to the blog 2-3 times a week including a Friday Favorites every Friday (duh.) Actually, be sure to check back tomorrow for a new post all about PLAYROOMS!!
Thanks for reading guys!
