UPDATE: See a roundup of my favorite Command Products below. You can buy these command hooks at most places now.  I actually get them from Amazon most frequently!  My favorite command hook products are the medium utility hooks, the clear decorating clips and the clear oval hooks.

We use these command hooks to hang infrequently used keys to the inside of cabinets.  Then they’re not getting lost in the bottom of drawers.  In addition, every time we open the cabinet – it creates a muscle memory so we know where it is.

They are easy to pull out whenever we need them, but they don’t take up any space.  PS:  Don’t ask me what that weird electrical thingy is in there.  LOL.

Keeping with the cabinet idea, I use one command hook on the inside of the cabinet where I keep all the measuring cups and spoons.  I hang the spoons from the hook and pull off the particular one I need at any given time.  It’s a great way to use up every inch of space in your cabinet and I love hanging them from a hook!

THREE //  Hang Scented Sachets in Linen Cabinets and Closets

I am a huge fan of rice sachets scented with essential oils.  In fact – I just made a bunch of fresh ones!  I love to hang these guys inside closets and on the inside of my linen cabinet door using command hooks.

Every time I open the cabinet, I get a fresh scent and it keeps everything smelling great in there.  Make sure the sachets are tied up nice and tight – you don’t want rice everywhere!

I use a flexible dryer vent brush to clean the bottom of the vent tray out as needed.  When I’m done using it, I hang it back up on a command hook right next to the dryer.  It never gets in the way and it’s right there when I need it.

FIVE // Bath Toy Organizer

I even use command hooks as part of my DIY bath toy organizer.   Unfortunately, a lot of the bath toy organizers on the market just don’t work for us.  So instead, I use an old beach bucket with small holes drilled in the bottom to hold all the bath toys.  Then the water drains right out after a bath and nothing gets mildew or moldy.

I hang the bucket right from a command hook I stuck to the tub wall.  Those toys stays hidden behind a shower curtain and when I need to clean – I just pick it up and set it aside.  My kids have joined the fun.  After bath – we all try to find the “hidden” bath toys under the soap suds and put them away in the bucket.  Cheap thrills! 🙂

SIX //  Use them to Hang Garland

Yes, you can use these to hang those heavy, gorgeous Christmas garlands. Who wants to nail into a wall for a just a season? Not me, that’s for sure.

This way, you can hang the garlands wherever you want. The trick is using those big, heavy duty Command Hooks.

SEVEN // Hide Unsightly Cords

Use them to hide unsightly cords.

We’ve all been here.  You have a cord hanging down from a lamp or something creating an unsightly eye sore.  Just use a command decorating clip to corral those cords outta sight!  I use a few and stick them to the back of the table legs.  I push the cord into them and it stays hidden behind the table legs.

The nice thing is – they can be removed without damaging your furniture.  So it can really be a temporary or a permanent solution for you.

EIGHT // Hang Rubber Gloves

Command Hook Hacks : Use them to hold your rubber gloves on the inside of a cabinet

As you can tell, I am huge fan of using the inside of doors and cabinets to “store” things.  I am just not really a fan of drilling any permanent holes in these places.  So – these command hooks solve that problem.  In the kitchen, I use a small binder clip to hold my rubber cleaning gloves together.  Then I just attach the clip to the command hook.  Easy Peasy!

NINE // Hold Washi Tapes and Ribbons

Organize washi tapes with wooden dowels and command hooks

I use a wooden dowel to hold all my washi tapes.  I just hang the dowel from two command hooks that I attached to the inside of cabinet where I keep all my crafts.  When I need the tape, you just remove the dowel and pull off the one you need.

It’s great not having to store all these washi tapes in a box somewhere – they can take up a lot of space after a while.  You want to make sure you use hooks big enough to support the weight and with enough of a “hook” to hold the dowel.

TEN // Hang Outdoor Wreaths

Hang a wreath on a front door with command hooks

I used to use those clunky wreath hangers that go over the top of the door.  Then I tried the clear clunky wreath hangers.  Then I got smart and used a couple sturdy command hooks to hang the wreath!  Now I can hang a wreath or swag below the top windows on my front door. I can hang it wherever I want, actually.
