Hi friends! How was everybody’s weekend? I wanted to put together a post about unique and pretty porch railing ideas. As I mentioned last week, we are in the process of choosing an architect for our home renovation and just from the brief conversations we have had, there is A LOT that goes into it. The more design choices we make up front, the faster the process goes. Yay for us because we pretty much know exactly what we want and need (of course as long as it all works and fits within the budget etc 😁).

We would definitely need a new porch railing out front. Our craftsman style home has a walkout basement and steps that lead to our front door – which is where the kitchen and main living space is. So technically our main living area is on the 2nd level but we have this great front porch with a pretty nice view. Our home was built on a hill so it’s a little confusing how it’s all laid out. One of the reasons we are renovating I guess! To make better use of the space.
Anyways, I’ve been scouring all social media and the internet for porch railings and there is so much to choose from! So many patterns and designs. I think a white porch railing would look best. Currently we have a scroll pattern iron railing and it’s just meh, not really that inspiring to me and doesn’t draw the eye to our pretty porch the way I would want. (You can see it in the photos above. ) So, here are some great ideas for all of us in case you are in the market for a new porch railing too! Or, if you just want to look at pretty pictures. 🙂
The following photos are all from the wonderful architects and builders of Landschute Group. You can link to their website to see these and more beautiful designs at www.landschute.com.
Aren’t these homes and railings just beautiful. I think we are going to go for more of a classic railing, like the photo above from Paul Moon Designs. Although – those X railing designs are pretty tempting. I hope these porch railing ideas inspired you in some way! Thanks so much for visiting the blog today!
