Heyyyy! So it’s officially about two weeks until my little girl goes to kindergarten! I can’t believe she is getting so big. I’ll still have the little guy with me all day but it’s definitely a different phase we are heading in as a family. How about you? Anyone in the same boat with sending the first one off to school? Ahhhh – crazy times! Anyways, I wanted to put together some rustic farmhouse decor ideas and photos from my favorite Instagram accounts. Personally, I like to strike a balance with my own decor. I like clean and neutral with lots of texture thrown in. Think lots of rattan, chunky throws, vintage and jute rugs, paneled walls and pillows galore against a neutral backdrop (white walls, neutral furniture).

Rustic Farmhouse Decor Ideas
First up – a warm and cozy bedroom. Love the rustic wood tones against the white paneled walls and vaulted ceilings. That basket pendant light is spot on!
Here’s an easy way to bring farmhouse style into your bathroom, just add a rustic storage cabinet and fill it with white towels and antique treasures!
Aqua is a popular farmhouse color. Add it into your decor, with vases and Demi johns or paint your front door and add a grapevine wreath. Try Benjamin Moore in Wyeth Blue. Beautiful!
This is a beautiful kitchen warmed up with maple colored hardwood floors and wood beams on the ceilings. Open shelves display white pitchers and other serve ware.
Here’s a serene bedroom with a rustic touch. Those stacked wood framed silhouette prints are perfect. Bring in a couple of burlap lamp shades to make even more cozy!
This is an adorable kids bedroom. They added lots of texture (and storage) with those wicker trunks at the end of the bed and the baskets on the shelving unit.
More shiplap! This is a very clean kitchen design. No upper cabinets, white counters, brass fixtures and a vintage rug. Simple with just a touch of farmhouse. Love it!
First, that cat is adorable. Second, an iron bed has a classic farmhouse feel – you can never go wrong there! White paneled walls and neutral bed linens complete this country styled room.
Here’s a farmhouse dining room with a little color! This Wallpaper makes a statement without overpowering the room. Those navy cottage style chairs fit right in and they are not only easy to add to your table, but look great tucked into a nook or corner of a room. Even a hallway!
Here’s another bright and light cottage style dining room. Rattan chairs add rustic charm against a mostly white room. A pop of green completes the space and gives some needed height to a corner!
This dresser turned vanity adds so much character to this bathroom. The robins egg blue brightens up the room and adds an unexpected touch. Very shabby chic.
This is more modern rustic than farmhouse. But a good example of lots of texture and tone – the tassel throw, the variety of pillows, the basket etc. I especially love that shiplap style white headboard. They all pop against that dark wall. Love the simple artwork and straw hat display too!
White dishes, pitchers and cake stands scream farmhouse charm. White is my go to color in our house for all our tableware. Everything always matches and its easy to dress it up seasonally. In this photo, white dishes pop against a neutral bead board cabinet. Love that vintage paint chipped vase with hydrangeas too.
I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want to spend some time in this charming outdoor oasis. This space works with lots of greenery at varied heights, a neutral seating area with pillows, some wood toned accented furniture, a nifty pot wall on that fence!
Textured decor and furniture (like that artwork and little side table), wood beams, and white walls give the right rustic balance to this room.
Farmhouse touches include shiplap walls, an antique bed, and a shabby chic painted armoire. That antique mirror is a gorgeous decor item!
This room is lovely! First, that triangular window is amazing. A vaulted ceiling and white paneled walls is a great backdrop against a neutral striped couch. That burlap shade and brown based lamp really pop and bring out the brown tones in the sofa. Love the greens in the demi john! That vintage storage chest under the coffee table helps anchor the space and adds more of that brown tone. I could spend a lot of time in this little corner nook! So peaceful, isn’t it?
This bathroom has so much character. Another gorgeous vintage vanity! Brass fixtures, wainscoting, and striped tassel bath towels oh my. Gimme.
Farmhouse signs like this ‘Pantry’ sign and rustic scale give lots of farmhouse character to this kitchen. Of course, those wooden open shelves don’t hurt either!
Those are some beautiful spaces, right? I encourage you to follow any of these amazing instagrammers if you like their style. I hope this gave you guys some good inspiration to add some rustic farmhouse decor to your own homes!
Wishing you all a great rest of your day!
