I wanted to show you our kids outdoor playhouse that we just recently built. It’s basically just cedar wood and the rest we got from Amazon! I will walk you through (kind of) some of the steps we took to build it. The kids love it and it’s fun to decorate. See that star garland, there? I hope this inspires you to create your own Kids Outdoor Playhouse!
We still have to order the tarp roof and put it up but I wanted to send out a few snapshots of it because it is so darn cute and the kids love it!
Basically, we had an old rock pile in that corner that used to be a water feature but is now disconnected (it was something from the previous owners). He took some cedar boards and built on top of it and also attached a simple ladder made from 2×4’s. We bought the green slide, green safety handles and ladder slip guard traction tape from Amazon. The roof tarp we haven’t put up yet can also be purchased from Amazon. I also picked up this adorable gold and silver star garland at Target and attached it to the back to up the cuteness factor.
This is a good way to make the most of all the space in your yard, especially if you have a corner or other small space that is a bit awkward and hard to use. I’ll be sure to update the post once it’s totally finished. We just love it!
