The Season of Giving is officially here! I’ve rounded up the best of the best, most popular home gifts of the year for this Holiday Home Gift Guide 2017. There is something for everyone on your list. So grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and get comfy. Ready to get started?
Kitchen Crocks – Handmade gifts can be so beautiful and mean so much to the receiver. This is just one step away – Farmhouse Pottery makes absolutely gorgeous items like these Laurel Crocks. These would be beautiful on the counter as a utensil caddy or on display in a rustic country hutch. The company is located in Vermont and they call themselves “old world potters”. Their website is dreamy – tons of eye candy!
Hello Doormat – I personally can not get enough of these cute doormats. You can personalize them and they have tons of different fonts and designs too. This would make an awesome gift for the new homeowner on your list!
Faux Fur Pillow – Who wouldn’t love to cozy up to this pillow? Plus, I find these make great gifts for the person who “has everything” because they pretty much go with all different styles and it’s something unexpected. Can you imagine opening up a gift like this? They lend so much texture to a room. This would look pretty good on a bed too. 🙂 UPDATE: These are currently on sale!
Sherpa Plush Throw – This is a little bit the same as above but these Eddie Bauer sherpa plus throws are SO popular on Amazon. And bonus, they come in different colors and styles. There is something that screams holiday about them and the person who receives this gift is sure gonna thank you! UPDATE: Sorry guys, looks like these sold out. HERE is something similar.
Amazon Echo Plus – Ok, I can’t get into all the technical details about these guys but I can tell you from personal experience that they are absolutely amazing devices. We subscribe to Amazon music – now I can ask my echo to play any song I want. Like Bing Crosby Christmas. No more downloading mp3s or iTunes music to a playlist. No more cds to fiddle with. (You can also set this up to pull from existing playlists or different music programs like pandora if you don’t have the monthly music subscription). Having a dinner party? “Alexa – play elegant jazz music.” Ha! You can also ask it about the weather, random facts, recipe advice (yes, like how many tablespoons in a cup etc). You can even ask it to set a timer for you! Hint – This would make a great gift for a guy! 🙂
Cuisinart Single Serve Coffeemaker – I am a coffee addict. I am also a Keurig user. That single serve option that whoever invented is just too good. However, This Cuisinart accepts Kcups -(even the my kcup) – and it heats up instantly, you can rinse the brew chamber with the push of a button (genius!), it has a large water reservoir, 5 different cup sizes, AND it’s super sleek looking. All that shiny stainless steel on my counters? Yes, please.
NEST Candles – These soy based candles are a bit pricey, but they are beautiful and well made and smell divine. (From the website: “NEST Fragrances Holiday Classic Candle provides the aroma of a sparkling holiday season, which is created by blending pomegranate, Mandarin orange, pine, cloves and cinnamon with a hint of vanilla and amber.”) This candle would make a fantastic hostess gift. Or, light it before a holiday dinner party – it smells like Christmas and will make your guests happy.
STAK Sprout Planter Dock – Everyone owns a smart phone and these ceramic dock stations are so useful and look so pretty on display. Need a gift for a coworker? It can even be used at the office as a little charger/planter to brighten up your desk area or cubicle. They have other colors but I am partial to white. This is small enough too that its not going to take over. Just FYI – this is from Etsy so just order as soon as possible since these take a bit longer to arrive than your typical big box retailers.
Dyson Cordless Upright Vacuum – I’ve been reading amazing things about this vacuum. Cord free? Sign me up. Yes, it’s expensive. But it’s a Dyson.
iRobot Roomba 690 Robot Vacuum – Do you have a neat freak on your list? You would make him or her so dang happy with this robot vacuum. Bonus – this also works with the Amazon Echo.
Coffee table books! – There are so many on Amazon to choose from. These are great gifts because you can find a nice hardcover coffee table book for anyone. They look great on display and they will think of you everytime they see it. Plus, have you ever been to someone’s house with great coffee table books that you find yourself thumbing through? Love that. The three I chose here (I have about 25 on my wishlist – not kidding) – are Beach Cocktails , Dogs, and Beautiful: All American Decorating and Timeless Style.
Set of 3 Rustic Planters – How cute is this? Do you have a gardener on your list? There are a variety of uses for these little planters and they look fabulous inside or out.
City Maps Print – These map prints are just neat and look great in a wood frame. You can get them made for a variety of cities and would be perfect for new homeowners. Simply buy the print and have it framed! Note: These are “handmade” so order quickly to get them in time for the holidays.
Meat thermometer – I know, I know – it’s a meat thermometer. But, these are so useful as gifts and work for those office or extended family white elephant gift parties that usually have low price limits. I always go for digital because it’s just easier.
Wood and Metal two tier serving stand – These are so beautiful and are perfect for that person who loves to entertain on your list. This one comes from world market, one of my favorite stores. It’s pretty and affordable!
Dog tail hooks– How cute are these? If you need something unique and funny for the dog lover in your life, this would be a great fit. These are perfect for hanging dog leashes or that cute dog sweater you use in the winter! You get two hooks in the set.
Preserved Lemon Topiary – These topiaries are so beautiful and come in different shapes and styles. How pretty to display a set of them on an entry console or your dining buffet?
Festive Phrases Stemless Wine Glasses – I love these! They could make a great hostess gift or a gift for new homeowners too. They have a pretty gold trim at the top and the festive phrases are written in hand lettering style. UPDATE: This sold out! I will keep my eye on when they come back in stock. Here are some other pretty festive stemless wine glasses.
Wood Board – These gorgeous wooden boards are all the rage right now. This is the small version but there is a large one too. Get them both and display on your counters. Or, make a fancy presentation of appetizers and cheeses. Makes a great hostess gift too – just needs a pretty holiday ribbon around the handle. 🙂
Well guys! I hope this holiday home gift guide 2017 was helpful to you and gave you some good ideas for this holiday season. Thank you so much as always for reading. 🙂
