Sixty Years Of Engine Noise
Kart racing at this 43-acre Oregon property dates to 1965, when the paved kart track was built.
The kart track has remained part of the property for more than six decades, while the complex has changed substantially over time.
The 43-acre complex includes the karting circuit and support areas, along with a dirt moto track that is currently closed for the 2026 season.
The track has hosted kart racing since 1965 and has staged major national-level events during its history.
Today the facility supports rental karting, owner-kart practice, driving lessons, leagues, and championship racing. The rental course runs half a mile, and the karts top out near 50 mph on the front straight.
Pat’s Acres is family owned and operated, and the property received its original county conditional-use permit in 1967, two years after the track was paved.

Hills, Twists, And Elevation Surprises

The Dirt Moto Track Is Currently Closed
As of September 2026, the dirt moto track is not open and the facility has not announced an expected opening date.
The dirt moto facilities remain on the property, but regular dirt-track riding is not currently available.
If it opens later in 2026, the planned main dirt track will be about two-thirds of a mile and limited to beginner and intermediate riders on bikes 125cc and under.
A separate skills track is designed for beginning riders. Riders here tend to be enthusiasts rather than full-time racers. The atmosphere leans relaxed, with courteous passing and friendly nods.
Watching from a shady spot became one of my favorite breaks between kart sessions. You get free entertainment while your hands stop tingling.

Drift Events Are Still On Hold In 2026
Drift events are not currently operating at Pat’s Acres.
The complex has hosted full-size drift cars in the past, but its 2026 drift events remain canceled. The facility says it is still working with Clackamas County on the future of its drift program.
Visitors should not expect active drifting while this year’s program remains unapproved. The current 2026 event calendar lists all drift events as canceled.
The hold stems from a land-use dispute rather than a scheduling issue.
The track operates as a nonconforming use dating to a 1967 permit, and a county hearings officer only partly approved the application that would have covered drift events.
Karting and moto operations are unaffected, so a visit still delivers a full day even with the drift calendar dark.
Bleacher seating gives you a decent view without needing to jostle for space. Bring sunglasses, because the afternoon glare can be strong.
What I enjoyed most was the mix of crowds. Kart racers, drift drivers, and moto riders all share one property in Oregon without stepping on each other.
Family Day Without The Fuss
