How to Hang Pictures Straight
I know I’m not the only one who finds hanging pictures perfectly straight to be a bit of a pain. You have to hold that picture up there, while also somehow holding a level, which always falls down in the middle of the process. And then you have to start all over. Or, you try to wing it and it ends up crooked. Well, I’m sharing an easy trick for how to hang your pictures nice and straight every single time.

First thing you want to do is get yourself a pack of those 3M command strips. I stopped using a hammer and nails a while ago for almost all the pictures in my house. Only the really heavy pieces of art still get hung on nails! The Velcro strips are my favorite because it gives you that extra bit of grip and security.
You are also going to want to get yourself a mini level tool. These things are super cheap and make the job so much easier.
But wait! There’s more …
Take those command strips or Velcro strips and place them on the back of your frames like you normally would prior to hanging. Now take an extra sticky command strip (or even a piece of tape folded over itself would work!) and attach it to your mini level and then stick it right down on top of your frame!
Now you have a mini level attached your picture frame. You can hold the picture frame up on the wall and adjust it until you see the little bubble on the level in the center – THEN – press the frame to the wall until it’s secure.
Gently remove the mini level from the top.
All done and your picture is hung perfectly straight!
I’ve found that the command strip stays tacky enough for me to repeat the process on two or more frames, so it’s not just a once and done trick. So – if you are looking for a way to hang pictures in a straight line or hang them straight in a row – this trick will totally work for you.
