I’ve recently switched up the look of our laundry room with a new rug runner and wanted to share all the details.
Last year, this laundry room got a mini makeover with a new wood countertop, wainscoting, and open shelving.
The only thing I couldn’t find was a good rug runner.
I wanted a laundry room runner that was…
And I finally found it.
Introducing Porte + Hall
Porte + Hall gifted me the runner of my dreams. It has updated the laundry space and inspired me to make a few other changes, like adding new decor and decanting my laundry supplies into pretty containers.
Let me introduce you if you’re unfamiliar with Porte + Hall rugs. Interior designer Stafford Meyer is the founder and creative behind the company. When she couldn’t find doormats that were pretty, functional, and up to her standards — she set out to create her own. Porte + Hall was officially born.
These babies are the epitome of style and functionality for your floors.
And let me tell you, they come in all kinds of jaw-dropping designs, from classic to modern, to geometric.
What caught my eye was the Innerweave Runner in Tiger’s Eye. The minute I laid it down in our laundry room, I wanted more. Especially for under our kitchen table. They don’t make larger sizes quite yet, but the doormats and runners will transform your space into a cozy haven of elegance and charm.
These rugs are made of polypropylene and have a nonslip latex backing. They are not cushy, but at 3/8 inch thick, they will easily fit under most doors – making them perfect for entryways, mudrooms, bathrooms, and laundry rooms—pretty much any room. The rug has a beautiful coastal style, making me feel like I’m at the beach!
Alright, let’s talk about their durability. These bad boys are like the Chuck Norris of the rug world – tough as nails and ready to take on anything. You could probably host a sumo wrestling match on one of these rugs, and they’d come out without a scratch. Perfect for pet owners because dogs seem to like these things!
These rugs are built to withstand the trials and tribulations of everyday life, and they’ll still have your back (or, rather, your feet) for years to come. Porte + Hall recommend shaking the rugs out instead of vacuuming, and you can clean them with cold water and hang them dry. They also recommend OxiClean for tougher stains.
So go ahead, unleash your clumsy side, and let your pets run wild because with Porte + Hall rugs, durability is the name of the game, and they’ll keep on kicking (or rather, lying beautifully on your floor) no matter what you throw at them.
Check our Porte + Hall here. I think you will love them!
