The Amazon Cleaning Gadgets I Can’t Live Without

1. Bissell SteamShot

This thing will satisfy the pickiest of the picky. With just water, you can loosen grime and sanitize surfaces. I use this Bissell Steam Cleaner everywhere around the house; it’s great for getting in those little cracks and crevices.

Caked-on dirt can be easily wiped or brushed away after using this thing. The two cons are that (1) it’s loud (read: do NOT use while your husband is watching sports) and (2) it’s slow to heat up. But it’s still one of my favorite cleaning gadgets ever. Please read my full review of it here.

2. Angry Mama

Is this a necessary item? No. You can use a scrub brush and cloth to clean your microwave the old-fashioned way. But ew. Why would you want to do that!? This Angry Mama is so fun, and it works! Fill her with vinegar and water, then microwave and watch hot steam blast from her head. Then, wipe the microwave clean. This gadget makes life a little more tolerable when you have kids who don’t mind a dirty microwave.

3. Swedish Dishcloths

I love these Swedish dishcloths! I tried these on a whim and was amazed at how sturdy and absorbent they can be. I’m desperately trying to ween myself off paper towels, and just one of these dishcloths replaces almost 18 rolls! I use them during my daily kitchen clean-ups.

These cloths can be thrown in the dishwasher, washing machine, microwaved, boiled, or bleached – they are versatile for several uses. I wash mine with our dish towels, and they come out great. They dry stiff – keep that in mind. I’m not partial to any brands, but I love these pretty patterns.

4. Dryer Vent Cleaner

This vent cleaner is one of those products you don’t think you need until you have it. I’m pretty good at cleaning the trap after every use, but I was amazed at how much more lint this thing pulled out! Cleaning out the lint from your dryer is essential to prevent fires and help your dryer run better and more efficiently.

5. O-Cedar Spin Mop

I can’t live without this mop. I have engineered hardwood floors, and this thing works miracles. I even use it to clean my baseboards. The wringing out is critical; I don’t like anything too sopping wet on my floors. This has proved to be indispensable.

6. Stain Remover

Alright. I know this is not technically a “gadget,” but this is the holy grail of stain removers. I discovered this product from a neighbor, and although it’s technically for cars, I use it on our upholstery and carpet stains, and I’ve never been disappointed.

This stain remover easily removes red wine from our light gray outdoor sectional. And with an aging dog who has her fair share of accidents, I can’t live without this product. Plus – a little goes a long way, so it lasts forever. You are supposed to dilute it in a spray bottle. I add it to my Bissell Steam Cleaner (next on this list), and it’s like a professional carpet cleaning.
